Noahs Ark Animal Sanctuary

SPONSOR LITTLE ANNE THE BEAR FOR A DAY OR WEEK

$20.00

During the severe tornadoes that devastated North Georgia in the spring of 2011, Little Anne was separated from her mother at only 2 months of age.  A local church found her alone and frightened in a tree, and finally coaxed her down after a week.  They had planned to make her the church mascot, but quickly called the Georgia Department of Natural Resources after spending just a few days with a starving, feisty bear cub.  Upon arrival to Noah’s Ark in April 2011, Little Anne was extremely thin, weighing only 4 lbs., but still had plenty of fight left in her.  Little Anne is about as active as a bear gets and is always running, climbing and digging in her habitat.  She would love a hanging feeder where she must “work” the treats out of the holes.  This type of activity not only aids in keeping her physically and mentally healthy but also mimics her natural behavior of searching out and retrieving the foods she would eat in the wild such as roots, berries and insects.
