With their sweet faces and soft fur, some believe Kinkajous sound like a wonderful pet, but they are wild animals and are happiest in the rainforest of South America, where they are native too.  Mama is a gentle and shy Kinkajou whose foot was shut in a cage door and broken, but never received medical treatment for her injuries.  To this day, she drags her foot but manages to get around well in her enclosure.  Although Mama is very sedate during the day, the following morning their habitat is a complete disaster, which is how keepers know they had a blast the night before playing with all of their toys and foraging devices!  In captivity Mama's diet consists of fruits, primate chow and dry dog food and her favorite treat is honey.
